Adi Kailash (61921mts. popularly known as Chotta Kailash) is in many ways replica of the better known Mt. Kailash in Tibet, especially in appearance. Adi-Kailash, however is in Indian Territory close to the Indo-Tibetan border full of nature, peace and serenity. Civilization tired by the incessant roar of urban life, will find here a healing quietude. Nearby lake called Parvati Tal catches the mesmerizing reflection of the peak.

ITINERARY :
Day - 01 Delhi reporting, Departure at Night Day - 02 Delhi to Jagehswar (413 Kms by Bus) Day - 03 Jageshwar- Dharchula (Via Patal Bhuvneshwar) (330Kms) Day - 04 Dharchula/ Mangti/ Gala (47Kms) Day - 05 Gala/ Budhi (21kms by trek) Day - 06 Budhi/ Gunji (17Kms by trek) Day - 07 Gunji/ Kalapani/ Nabhidhang (16Kms by trek) Day - 08 Nabhidhang/ Kalapani (8Kms by trek) Day - 09 Kalapani/ Gunji (8Kms by trek) Day - 10 Gunji/ Kutti (19Kms by trek) Day - 11 Kutti/ Jolingkong (14Kms by trek) The trekker can go to Kalapani and come back to Gunji in the evening. From Gunji, walk along the banks of the river Kuti, to reach Nabi, which has a temple and almost hidden spring in the beautiful mountain standing behind the village. In many places, the river Kuti is completely covered by snow. 11 Km ahead is the PWD hut at Nampha from where the view is as breathtaking as it is Kashmir and the Swiss Alps. Day - 12 Jolingkong/ Adi-Kailash/ Parvati Sarovar/Jolingkong (7Kms) Walk 14 Km, first to the left of Kuti and then to the right, to reach Jonglingkang (4572m). The river Kuti and its bridge will probably be under a thick blanket of snow. Jonglingkang is called Chhota Kailas (6191m) while its small but beautiful lake is called Parvati Tal. The reflection of the peak in the lake is really fascinating. Day - 13 Jolingkong/ Kutti (14Kms by trek) Day - 14 Kutti/ Gunji (19Kms by trek) Day - 15 Gunji/ Budhi (17Kms by trek) . Day - 16 Budhi/ Mangti/ Pangla (22kms. By trek, 5kms by Vehicle) Day - 17 Pangla / Dharchula/ Didihat (92Kms) Day - 18 Didihat/Bhowali (267Kms) Day - 19 Bhowali (Departure at night for Delhi) Day - 20 Delhi (Arrival morning)/ Before noon (Night stay) |
